Reflected ruins

If you weren’t already familiar with the Taylor Electric Building, you missed out on something amazing that was born out of destruction caused by a previous fire. The Taylor Electric site quickly became a platform for artistic expression, filled with beautiful graffiti. On this particular day, I had just finished lunch with a friend and was telling them about this site; showing them photo after photo of the amazing street art that plastered almost every piece of what remained of the building. Just as we left the restaurant to head to the site, it started raining again, much to our dismay. We figured there’d still be plenty of photo ops, despite the rain, and decided to continue heading to the site. Right as we rounded the corner, the clouds parted a little, giving the opportunity for a full rainbow to dance over the site. The rest is history.
